Things To Explore In Boston's North End

My Email Mentor - $100 In Your First 24 Hours Guarantee

If you are taking a trip to Boston this summer or this fall, there will be a lot of things you will want to explore - including the Freedom Trail, the Back Bay, and Fenway Park - but one of the most wonderful areas to make sure you see during your time in Boston is the North End. The North End is where a large portion of the Italian population in Boston lives, and as you might imagine, this area is full of great food, and great sights to see!

The food: This area of the city has scores of wonderful Italian restaurants packed together, and while you cannot go wrong with most of your options, one of the best restaurants of all is Giacamo's; you will find that Giacamo's is a small restaurant, with only about 12 or 13 tables, and they do not take reservations, which means a long line out the door - but once you get inside, you will also find that the wait is more than worth it!

The dessert: After you finish your meal at Giacamo's, you will probably be in the mood for something sweet, and if Giacamo's has taught you that long lines are often an indication of incredible taste, you will probably feel an impulse to visit Mike's Pastries, which always has a long line out the door; make sure you go with this impulse, as the line at Mike's moves quickly, and the cannolis from Mike's are unlike any dessert you have ever had before!

The historic: The North End is absolutely packed full of history (just like every other part of Boston!), and while there is plenty for you to check out, the coolest thing of all for you to make sure you visit is the Old North Church, which was such an integral part of Paul Revere's famous midnight ride.

While there will be very little in Boston that will disappoint you should you take the time to see it, you do not want to miss the North End - and when you visit the North End, you will want to make sure these three places are on your list.

Taking A Look At Things To Know When Picking Up An Engagement Ring

My Email Mentor - $100 In Your First 24 Hours Guarantee

If you have gone through the process of picking out an engagement ring with your future wife (or with a friend or family member of hers who you trust to help you make the decision!) and have already made the down payment on it and ordered it, the last thing you will be thinking about when you pick up the ring at last will be all the "extra" stuff you should be keeping in mind. But even though the main things you will probably be thinking about at this point will be the proposal and the wedding planning that is soon to follow, you should make sure you are aware of a few important things for you to do on the day you pick up the ring as well.

Of course, before you do anything else, you will want to make sure the diamond is real; more than likely, the place where you are buying the ring will demonstrate for you that the diamond is real by using a device that measures whether or not it is real; a good way to make sure the device is accurate is by bringing a fake diamond along and asking them to test this as well (and don't worry about them getting offended - most jewelers understand, as they have people do this all the time!).

The second thing you will want to do is make sure they tell you about insurance on the ring; the jeweler where you are buying your ring probably has an insurance company that they recommend, and it will be smart to get all the information you can from them before you leave the store, including how much the insurance is likely to cost and what it will cover.

And finally, you will not want to leave the jewelry store until you know the jeweler's policy on cleaning your ring, on warranty, and on "mishaps"; make sure that the jeweler will clean your ring at least once per year, make sure their warranty is complete, and make sure that things such as "small diamonds falling out" are covered under the warranty as well!

Ten Spring Activities To Get Your Kids Active

My Email Mentor - $100 In Your First 24 Hours Guarantee

image

Do you why so many American children are overweight? Time spent in front of the television, snacking, is one of the primary causes of obesity. Get your child away from the TV and outside, doing something that challenges his body and mind. The following list of ten activities will give you a point of reference as you come up with ways to get your child active.

Register your kid for an organized sport. Tennis lessons. Put up a volleyball net in your yard. Sign up for a race with your child and start running together. Just try different activities until you find one your child likes.

Put together a friendly scavenger hunt. Talk ahead of time with neighbors and come up with a list of things all over the area the kids have to find.

Teach your child to walk a dog. If you don't have a dog, have your neighbor ask your child to please walk their dog for them, as a favor.

Set up a hide and seek game - outside. If your kids are older, set up a flashlight tag game for after dark.

Invest in inexpensive but fun family outdoor games, like horse shoes or frisbee. Set up the game and invite the cousins over.

Pass out jump ropes and hold a competition. Buy a couple different types of jump ropes so you can have chinese jump ropes, long jump ropes, and individual jump ropes. Give out inexpensive prizes, like bubbles or silly string.

Look for summer camps that feature active themes. If you need childcare this summer, check into YMCA and local community camps that include exercise in the programs.

Put your child in charge of mowing the lawn. Any ten-year-old can probably handle at least half the lawn per day.

Pull out the old Twister mat. See who is the most flexible of the bunch.

Take your child for a hike or after-dinner stroll. Or hop on bikes together. Or put up a basket ball hoop and start teaching him or her how to shoot. If you get active with your children, your kids will be much more willing to exercise. Be the example you want your child to grow up to be, and watch their enthusiasm grow!

Discovering Simple Ways To Keep Yourself Awake During The Day

My Email Mentor - $100 In Your First 24 Hours Guarantee

For some people, staying awake during the day is no problem, as they can simply crack open an energy drink or pour a cup of coffee on those days when they get really tired, and this will keep them awake; there are other people, however, who prefer not to drink coffee or energy drinks, and there are also other people who drink coffee and energy drinks so often that these no longer keep them awake! If you happen to fit the mold of any of the "sometimes have a hard time staying awake during the day" categories, it will help you to have an idea as to some of the less conventional, more natural things you can do in order to keep yourself from getting sleepy during the day.

Streatching: One of the things that will make you feel tired if you work at a desk for a living is the fact that you are sitting perfectly still, staring at a computer, for the majority of the day; you do not need to carve a portion of your day out as "exercise time" in order to get the blood flowing - simply getting up and stretching a few times throughout the day will get your blood flowing and wake up your body.

Breathing exercises: Breathing is, of course, something you usually do without even thinking about it, but breathing exercises are something different; hold your body upright, and spend about five minutes taking deep inhalations through your nose and exhaling through your mouth, as this will go a long way in making you feel more awake.

Sunlight: Despite the fact that sunlight is good for your body, it can also make your eyes feel tired; if you are going to be spending time outdoors, or if you will be driving around when the sun is strong, keep sunglasses on your face, and your eyes will become a lot less tired!

Of course, if you are consistently tired, there might be more wrong with you than these solutions will take care of, but if you simply find yourself feeling tired every once in a while, these solutions will go a long way in helping you feel better.

Dealing With A Neighbor Who Does Not Mow Their Lawn

My Email Mentor - $100 In Your First 24 Hours Guarantee

If you live in even a decently-nice neighborhood, it is generally an unwritten rule of the neighborhood that everyone makes sure their lawn looks presentable. After all, the value of houses in a neighborhood is largely dependent upon the way things look, and a shabby, overgrown lawn can make things look poor. And what's more, if one of your neighbors whose house you are stuck looking at all the time does not mow their lawn, it can be downright annoying! And so the question becomes, what is the best, most effective approach for getting your neighbor to mow their lawn?

One of the first things you will need to make sure you know is whether the residents of the house in question own the house or rent the house. Even though it can be much more likely for the lawn of a rental house to get overgrown, it is also much easier to turn things around. Generally speaking, you can get the owner of the house to take care of this problem; get in touch with them and let them know that the lawn of their rental house is usually overgrown, and they will exert pressure. This will solve the problem quickly and effectively, as it will be the landlord telling them to mow, instead of a neighbor asking.

If, on the other hand, the people who live in the house are the owners, you should take the time to notice what the condition of the rest of their house is like. For those homeowners who keep the rest of their house in good condition, you can usually solve the problem simply by asking them. If, on the other hand, the people who live in the house seem to neglect all aspects of their home, you might find that you are stuck mowing their lawn yourself! Either that, or pay the person you pay for your lawn to also go over and mow that lawn! Usually, one time of doing this will be enough to get them to start taking better care of it themselves.

It is especially important that you keep these tips in mind if you are selling your house; you will have a much easier time selling your own house if all the houses around it look good!

Tips For Planning A Destination Wedding

My Email Mentor - $100 In Your First 24 Hours Guarantee

If you are hoping to have a destination wedding, one thing that will be important is that you plan everything correctly, but another thing that will be important will be that you also invite people to your wedding correctly; after all, not every person will have the money to attend your wedding if they are going to have to travel a long distance to attend, so one thing you may be planning on doing is having a second, bigger reception upon your return.

To this second reception, there is a good chance you will be inviting not only the people who were unable to spend the money to travel to the wedding, but also those who you were unable to invite to the wedding because of the space constraints of your chosen destination; because you will be inviting people to two distinctly different events in two completely different locations, it will be vital that you word the invitation correctly.

One thing that will help you quite a bit is for you to talk to everyone you plan on inviting to the wedding before sending out invitations, as this will enable you to get an idea of how many of these people will be able to attend; once you have this information in hand, you'll have a more complete understanding of how many people might be attending the wedding, and of how many more you might be able to invite.

Because a destination wedding will require a lot more planning from your guests than would be required for an in town wedding, it will also be important that you get the invitations out as early as you can; make sure the invitation gives the guests as much help as possible, providing them with such things as airline information, lodging information, and the sort of a attire they should plan to bring for the wedding and for the trip itself.

Your wedding will certainly be a lot of work for you, but when you are planning a destination wedding, you should realize that it will also be a lot of work for those who are attending; for this reason, you should take every step you can to make the process as easy as possible for them, as this will ensure the best possible experience for everyone!

Odd And Effective Ways To Enjoy A Day

My Email Mentor - $100 In Your First 24 Hours Guarantee

There are plenty of people who go through life “making it through each day,” and it is not until much later in their life that they realize that they have hardly taken the time to enjoy any of these days while making their way through them; of course, sometimes it is easier to enjoy a day than at other times, but when you understand the different approaches you can take in order to enjoy a day, you can make it much easier for you to do so, no matter what that day entails!

The area in which many people fail to enjoy their days is at work, as they see work as something they just have to get through in order to reach the end of the day or the weekend; although work might never be “fun” for you, it can still be enjoyable – and one of the best ways to make it so is to look for ways at work by which you can make someone else's day easier or better. As you go out of your way to make someone else's day easier or better, this will have a positive effect on you as well, allowing you to feel uplifted and making your day much more fulfilled.

For many people, by the time they make it home from work, whether in the evening or on the weekend, they are so ready to be done with all the craziness of work that they end up simply sitting around, wasting their free time; sometimes, it is certainly nice to just sit around and do nothing at all, but more often than not, you will enjoy your day a lot more if you make an effort to be productive – either with a hobby, a project, or an activity – instead of simply sitting around.

And the best way to make sure you are enjoying a day is often to allow yourself to be at play; plenty of adults have a tendency to think of “playing” as something from the past, or as something that belongs to their children, but when you find ways by which you can “play,” your days will be a lot more thrilling, and a lot more fulfilling!

A Look At Three Great Ways To Make Money From Home

My Email Mentor - $100 In Your First 24 Hours Guarantee

A lot of people dream of being able to make money from home, as they imagine how wonderful it would be if they could set their own hours and work at their own pace, but one thing that many people who dream of this fail to realize is that this is not really a "dream" at all, but is instead quite possible - as long as you know a few things you can look into doing!

One of the best ways to make money from your home is to simply "start your own business" - and while this used to require big startup costs and a physical location, the Internet now makes it easy for you to start your own business from your home; pick out something you enjoy making, set up a shop on eBay or Etsy, and start making some extra money!

Becoming a contractor, or doing freelance work, is another great way to "be your own boss"; while it used to be necessary for you to travel to the location of the company for which you were working, you can now use your special skills and talents to gain work right from the comfort of your own home!

And if you truly want to work on your own time and according to your own motivation, one of the greatest things of all that the Internet makes possible is search engine marketing - where you can make money by simply creating a website, pouring content onto it, climbing up search engine rankings, and making money through the products you plug or the ads on your site!

In order to make money from home, you will certainly still have to "work" - but when you are able to work on your own time, and are able to work for no one but yourself, it will make work a whole lot easier, and a whole lot more enjoyable, and you cannot ask for much more than that!

How To Keep Your Coffee Hot!

My Email Mentor - $100 In Your First 24 Hours Guarantee

It seems that there are two types of "big coffee drinkers" - those who tend to drink their coffee quickly, and those who tend to drink their coffee slowly, savoring it as they make their way through the mug; of course, if you are the kind of coffee drinker who goes through a cup of coffee rapidly, you will not have to worry about keeping your coffee hot, but if you are the kind of person who likes to savor your coffee, keeping your coffee hot can be a big problem (especially because it is a lot more difficult to "savor" that coffee when it gets to be lukewarm or room temperature!).

If you work from home (or there is a coffee pot that you keep on your desk at work), one way to keep your coffee hot is to leave it in the pot, on the burner, and to only pour small cups at a time; of course, not everyone has the flexibility to do this - and what's more, leaving the coffee on the burner often tends to give it a "burnt" flavor that is not exactly desirable for someone who is a coffee lover.

Another option for keeping your coffee hot - and one that works well if you work in an office where you are in one place for most of the day - is to get a coffee warmer. With one of these, you can set your mug down and know that it will remain hot - providing you with "sipping hot coffee" each time you pick it back up.

But maybe the best approach for keeping your coffee hot is to get a good thermos - one that has the ability to keep your coffee hot for hours at a time; with one such thermos, you can prepare your coffee, can seal the lid, and can then go through your day knowing that the coffee will be hot each time you go to take a sip!

The issue of "making sure coffee stays hot" might seem a bit minor - but if you are a big coffee drinker, you know what a big deal this can be, and now, you also know what you can do to keep your coffee hot yourself!

Learning How To Raise Butterflies

My Email Mentor - $100 In Your First 24 Hours Guarantee

If you have grade school aged children, raising butterflies can be a great experience. Monarchs are one of the most ideal to raise at home. This can become a real hands on learning experience for them. You can help to teach them about the different life stages of a butterfly.

If you want to help teach your children about their life cycle, one of the best things you can do is pick up a book on them. Monarchs lay their eggs on common milkweed and also use it as a food source. If you want an easy way to get monarch eggs, you can plant milkweed  in your garden. Monarch eggs look like a tiny white football often on the underside of milkweed leaves. Then you simply clip the leaf the egg is attached to with a scissors. Once you have clipped the leaf, put it into a Tupperware container.

Now this is a good temporary home for your egg. Soon it will hatch and turn into a tiny caterpillar. You will need to supply new milkweed leaves every few days. Old leaves mold before too long, so make sure to remove them. As your caterpillar grows, you will need to move him and the milkweed into a butterfly net house. These make for a great location to house your caterpillar as it changes into a butterfly. Just make sure that when you open the top you are very careful of any chrysalis that may on the top.

The chrsalis will be a bright green, and remain that way until the moment before the butterfly immerges. Before it comes out, ussually within 24 to 48 hours it will turn clear, where you can actually see the monarchs wings. If you want to learn more about attracting butterflies to your home, along with housing them, the butterfly book is a great resource. This can be a great learning resource for your children.
