If you are taking a trip to Boston this summer or this fall, there will be a lot of things you will want to explore - including the Freedom Trail, the Back Bay, and Fenway Park - but one of the most wonderful areas to make sure you see during your time in Boston is the North End. The North End is where a large portion of the Italian population in Boston lives, and as you might imagine, this area is full of great food, and great sights to see!

The dessert: After you finish your meal at Giacamo's, you will probably be in the mood for something sweet, and if Giacamo's has taught you that long lines are often an indication of incredible taste, you will probably feel an impulse to visit Mike's Pastries, which always has a long line out the door; make sure you go with this impulse, as the line at Mike's moves quickly, and the cannolis from Mike's are unlike any dessert you have ever had before!

The historic: The North End is absolutely packed full of history (just like every other part of Boston!), and while there is plenty for you to check out, the coolest thing of all for you to make sure you visit is the Old North Church, which was such an integral part of Paul Revere's famous midnight ride.

While there will be very little in Boston that will disappoint you should you take the time to see it, you do not want to miss the North End - and when you visit the North End, you will want to make sure these three places are on your list.
